The Roots of Folk-Love

Folk-Love is a creative collective dedicated to the celebration of vernacular culture and the disciplinary history of folklore. Our project began with a simple observation: there is a deep devotion among those who study and share lore, and a desire for subtle ways to signal that connection to others. Just like folklore, our loves should to be carried with us - not just kept in dusty archives or lecture halls, but in our daily lives.

Honoring the Legacy

Our products are deeply rooted in the history of the discipline: our inaugural Legacy Collection keeps the hyphen (and the history) alive with a curated set of products featuring the original spelling of "folk-lore" coined In 1846 by William Thoms. Folklore studies has come a long way since those days; this limited edition collection is a nod to the legacy. By keeping the original hyphenated spelling alive, we offer a subtle academic flex for those who navigate the world with a scholar’s heart and a folklorist’s spirit.
